1. Is LipoSelection^sm is right for me?
   

   LipoSelection^sm is ideal for removing small, specific areas of fat rather than the larger areas normally addressed by liposuction. It is a precise body sculpting procedure, not a weight loss tool. Each situation is unique. Dr. Hicks can help you decide if liposuction is the right procedure for you.



2. Is LipoSelection^sm safe?
   

   Yes. LipoSelection is actually safer than most liposuction procedures. Very specific areas of fat are addressed and Vaser technology emulsifies the fat so that the surrounding tissue is not affected.



3. Can I have LipoSelection^sm combined with another procedure?
   

   Yes. You can have LipoSelection^sm as a part of other procedures such as a facelift or breast reduction.



4. Will LipoSelection^sm remove cellulite?
   

   No. LipoSelection^sm will remove fat, but cannot significantly address the dimpled look of cellulite.



5. Does LipoSelection^sm leave scars?
   

   Scars from LipoSelection^sm are very small and hard to detect. Dr. Hicks will make every effort to make these scars as inconspicuous as possible.



6. Are the results permanent?
   

   Yes. The fat cells removed with LipoSelection^sm will not grow back. LipoSelection^sm will not prevent you from gaining weight, but weight gained will be distributed throughout your body, and you should retain your new contours.



7. Why is LipoSelection^sm different?
   

   The fat is liquefied before it is removed, allowing for very precise results and minimizing bruising, swelling, and pain.



8. Is LipoSelection^sm painful?
   

   Because LipoSelection^sm targets specific areas and only targets fat, leaving the surrounding tissue intact, pain compared to other liposuction procedures, is minimized. You may be sore for a few days. Dr. Hicks will prescribe pain medication to minimize any discomfort.
